Best Universities for Tech Degrees in Uganda (2026 Comparison)

Makerere University's College of Computing and Information Sciences is Uganda's flagship computing program. It is the most recognized, most researched, and most employer-trusted CS credential in the country.

Programs offered: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Information Systems, Master's and PhD programs in computing disciplines.

Strengths:

MUST is Uganda's leading science and technology university outside Kampala. Located in Mbarara (western Uganda), it offers computing programs within its Faculty of Science.
