Bonaventure Ogeto

He started out lost between five YouTube playlists, with really good wifi. Nobody showed him the map. It took two years before anything he built worked for anyone else.

His first paying tech job came before third year of university, with no degree and no certificate, only a portfolio of things he had built for real clients. Mctaba exists to show learners the map first: live, project first, on the tools African businesses pay for, such as M-Pesa, WhatsApp and USSD.

Our founder led software engineering at Zindua School from January 2023 to February 2024.

He is the founder of Mctaba Labs, a software and AI development studio that also trains, in Nairobi. Our outcomes page shows what the company has shipped and taught.

He teaches in public, on stage and in lecture halls. Talks the site already lists:
